Ben Netanyahu plans to go strong on solar power and solar power farm fields in Israel. So much so in fact that by the year 2020 over 10% of the energy needs in Israel will be provided by solar and renewable energy sources. The Prime Minister plans to start issuing permits to allow people to put solar panels on the roofs and walls of buildings as well. The solar power is seen as a welcome shift from the current nuclear power system in place. In the past Israeli's have had a hard time getting anything accomplished based on constant bickering and he states that his recent decision to implement solar will cut through red tape and bring progress in the right direction towards green energy in Israel. Israel is one part of the world which does get alot of sunlight so the scientists are in agreement with the decision to promote solar energy usage in the land of Israel.
