DRIVERS LICENSES & VEHICLE REGISTRATION
Keep in mind that there are some fraud websites out there which make themselves look very similar to a DMV website. So make sure only to use the following links. Also, registration and drivers' license offices are two separate entities. Some states call the metal rectangles on the car a license plate while in Florida they are referred to as vehicle Tags. The tags stay with you if you trade the car in yet if you get rid of the car you must give the tags back to the state yet will not be charged the full amount next time you purchase a vehicle and get it registered. It can be confusing for new South Florida residents so please read up on it at the following links:
